Louise Ryland-Epton PhD

We are delighted to report that one of our key researchers, Louise Ryland-Epton has been awarded her doctorate by the Open University. Louise is working on the Bremhill project, which will produce the VCH chapter on Bremhill Parish - and a lot more. Her work is part funded by the Wiltshire VCH, with substantial support from the Heritage Lottery Fund. Well done, Louise.

We can also report that the Bremhill work is continuing online during  the current dreadful COVID pandemic - though slowed down because Louise cannot of course get to the Swindon and Wiltshire History Centre in Chippenham. Here is a link to the Bremhill History web site

Under its Research Articles tab, you can read four of Loiuse's contributions:

  • Untimely death at Stanley Mill
  • The Silvesters of Foxham
  • The Philanthropy of Rev Bowles
  • The Bounty on Wildlife
